2016 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Spectrum is the proud sponsor of nearly 100 employees from the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Health Centers in the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure™. This event took place in Washington D.C. on Saturday, May 7th.

Since its inception in 1990, funds raised from the Susan G. Komen Washington, D.C. Race for the Cure and other events have provided more than $36 million for over 300 community grants to support local programs in the National Capital Region. These grants are dedicated to reaching low-income, minority and uninsured women in areas where breast cancer rates are highest. Additionally, more than $44 million has been invested in over 152 grants to breast cancer researchers at institutions in the National Capital Region.
